Businesses and homes all have one thing in common, windows that get dirty. Not only do they need to be cleaned today, but again next week, next month, and next year. Since 1978, Fish Window Cleaning has made keeping these windows clean their business.

Summary:  Harry, who wanted a solid B2B business with residual income, able to remain strong in a down economy, offering a simple product or service. Of course, Fish fit the bill.  Harry really saw the value in the 32 years of history behind the Fish system. He was even more impressed with how happy their franchisees are … making great money, Monday – Friday … no nights, weekends or holidays.
Candidate Profile: Harry is single dad with young children.  He has been working in IT and inside sales for his entire career.  Harry’s former company was relocating.  Being a single dad, Harry depends on his family to help him watch his kids.  The job required much travel, making it even more impossible.  Harry decided to take a severance package and find a business.  The family friendly nature of our business was really attractive to him.
How MatchPoint did it:  Harry’s MatchPoint Consultant found him proactively, working with his former company to give people like Harry some options after their work ended.  Harry was especially afraid of failure due to the fact he is a single parent.   Harry’s consultant did a great job helping him overcome his fear and anxiety, especially as we had a huge delay because of financing.  He was able to keep Harry focused on his goals and held his hand across the finish line.  The best of luck to Harry in his new business!

Franchise News – Fibrenew

Summary: Dave found the best franchise for himself and his family with Fibrenew. From the time Dave first spoke to his franchise consultant at MatchPoint to his first day of training was 6 months. Working closely with his consultant allowed Dave to move quickly into business including: franchise evaluation & validation, locating & applying for funding options and launching his new career.

Candidate Profile: Dave was an Officer in the US military, retiring at the end of 2009.  His wife Cindy was a stay at home mom of their children and now will be assisting with back office support while Dave covers the sales and marketing of the Fibrenew franchise.  Dave brings strong customer service skills, “hand on” approach and a relationship building sales skills set to the table.

How we did it: Dave’s MatchPoint Consultant guided him through the initial phases of self assessment to help determine the specific skills and interests Dave would bring to a business.  Once the field was narrowed to the businesses that fit Dave, his consultant shared a in depth analysis of the franchise systems he was considering.  Gaining  a 3rd party view of several well matched franchise opportunities helped Dave make an educated decision without worrying about the hard sell from a broker.
